Abstract [+]
The ability of cloud computing to deliver affordable, simple to administer, elastic, and formidable resources instantly over the Internet is astounding. By maximising and sharing usage, cloud computing enhances the capabilities of the hardware resources. The benefits already discussed motivate businesses and individual users to move their apps and services to the cloud. Even essential infrastructure is being moved to the cloud computing paradigm, such as power generating and distribution facilities. However, there are extra security risks associated with the services offered by third-party cloud service providers. In a shared environment with many users collocated, the movement of user assets (data, apps, etc.) outside of administrative control increases security risks. This survey describes the security concerns that arise because of cloud computing inherent characteristics. The survey also includes the most recent solutions to security problems that have been discussed in the literature. Additionally, a quick overview of security flaws in mobile cloud computing is also presented. The discussion of unresolved difficulties and potential future study topics is also offered in the conclusion. |
